No more than ten minutes, but then I live in a small city, where A&E is never as busy as at a big-city hospital.

I live in birmingham england, which is the second biggest city in england - and it's not unusual to wait 3/4hrs.

Being from the U.S., I don't know what an A&E is. Can you enlighten me please?

Any where from half hour to three hours. Sometimes I got worse from waiting then from how sick I got when I got in. And then just left and went home.

I don't ever wait to see them, I am there for them to see me eventually I hope, before I bleed out! lol

The longest was about 15 hours. I was only a little kid at that time and I was waiting with my mum. They kept telling us to wait, so we did...for hours...and hours... Then my mum thoguht it was strange because other people who arrived much later than us were almost immediately taken to their doctors & nurses. Eventually, when my mum decided we should go back home & said out loud that they "weren't giving us service or helping us" even though I was waiting to be treated, the woman at the desk finally took us to the doctor. If she didn't say it out loud, I din't think the woman would've referred us to a doctor.
