  • In the Hebrew language it is written YHWH. These four letters, called the Tetragrammaton, are read from right to left in Hebrew and can be represented in many modern languages as YHWH or JHVH. Godâ??s name, represented by these four consonants, appears almost 7,000 times in the original Old Testament,or Hebrew Scriptures. The name is a form of a Hebrew verb ha·wah´ ×?, meaning to become, and actually signifies e Causes to Become. Thus, Godâ??s name identifies him as the One who progressively fulfills his promises and unfailingly realizes his purposes. Only the true God could bear such a meaningful name. While the exact pronunciation of Godâ??s name is unknown, in English it is commonly pronounced Jehovah

  • Irving - simple, kind and peaceful as is our Lord.
  • Iehovah. Begins with an I!
  • You are all highlighting Titles and Quality of who God is. Their is only one name: in english, Jehovah. Hebrew, Yahweh. His name means: he causes to become. Simple
  • I think Yahweh is the most beautiful name for God.
  • See "Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible"
  • I just desire some clarification, are you referring to the names of God in the original Hebrew and Greek or in some other form? And as to Jehovah, it is actually a misunderstanding in and of itself. Jehovah is a misreading and mispronunciation of the Hebrew Yahweh. The mistake comes about because of Scribal notes etc.
  • Although I probably could not tell you all of them, I can name a few: there is YHWH, JEHOVAH, or I AM THAT I AM. There is also Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God in the flesh(John 1:1-14, Colossians 2:9, I Timothy 3:16), so Jesus Christ is also God's Name, as is the other Name for Jesus "Emmanuel"(which means "God with us"). Jesus is the Name which is above every name though(see Phillipians 2:9). Thank you and may God bless you. :) -In Jesus' Name.
  • I don't know, but in parts of the world He is called Allah.
  • Sky Daddy.
  • WHAT IS THE NAME FOR GOD OF RECOMPENSE?
