O%. "hippie" was a word coined by beat poets to describe uncool people trying to be hip. That certainly doesn't describe me in any way. I'm uncool and not trying to be hip at all.

well, let's see...hmmm...i was born in 1950...was drunk in 1964, started illicit drugs in 1965, was dimissed from 3 high schools, my home town high school, Groveport Madison near Columbus, Ohio and Cincinnati Woodward for various reasons, finally gave it up in 1968...and the next thing i remember is...waking up one morning in 1973 to go to an interview to sell cemetary plots...i managed to shake the hangover but i still have a lot of the same sentiments i had in those days, except now i am jaded, cynical and a skeptic about most stuff, what is idealism? i forget...oh, the original question, 83.6%, despite whatever definition you choose for hippy

My friends would rank me higher hippie then I would myself. I am too materalistic and selfish to be a true hippie. Plus I'm not a veggie. I am earthy though.

About 90%. I celebrated the solstice at the Summer of Love Be-In 41 years ago at Golden Gate park. I'd be about 99% hippy except that 9% of me is like another resident of San Francisco- Adrian Monk. :p
