Help answer this question below.
Maybe people think they know? They're just trying to help? They're bored? There may be a lot of reasons, but I don't know that when this happens, it's one hundred percent ill intent every time. I doubt it.
As for wanting to get your ratings up or percentages high, well the person writing ''I don't know'' isn't anymore at fault in this as whoever actually gives them points for it. :/
I don't know
Haha! Just kidding, but really, I don't know. Just like right now, I'm giving you my opinion on this subject that maybe people feel they need to respond to the question even if they don't know the answer.
I personally do it for the health realted topics, and I'm usually downrated for the "I can't tell you what's wrong with you, you should go see a doctor" answers that I give. But that's just me...
It brings their 'questions answered' ratings up.
It makes them feel happy & useful!
Because they think that they know the answers and to maybe to gain points..^_^
some people are jerks
Sometimes people are so bored, so they try to give a good enough answer
Because they like being stupid and annoying. On here, you can ask an unlimited amount of questions but on others you can ask how many based on your points. It gets annoying when you waste your points on "i don't know" answers.
One time I posted that I was looking for something and that I already tried Ebay and they didn't have it and some jerk posted "try ebay".
Obviously it is all about the points - - -
Probably for the same reason that certain people feel compelled to post questions they either know the answer to or really don't want to know the answer to
1) no idea.
;-)
2) Some possible reasons:
- they just see it as an opportunity to make a joke.
- they just want to say that they are also interested to know the answer. Answering the question pushes it again to the top of the list, so it get more chances to get an answer.
- they could give some clues, even if they don't hae the answer.
- they are interested in points, and they know that some askers will give them some points independently of how good the answer is.
- they are erroneously convinced to know the answer.
- just wanting to talk to someone
- rebels without a cause
- the usual trolls
3) In my case, I usually don't know the answers to the questions I am answering, but I find it fun to look for them.
For points, To be annoying, or because they think they know a good answer but in reality they don't.
Probably to get points
Probably a answer in their opinion
Points points points (who doesn't love points!!! hurray), or because they feel the need to add their VERY IMPORTANT opinion.
why don't you ask them.. oh wait you just did!!
real answer is that people think they know more than they actully do!
Those people who think they know it all really annoy those of us who do!
Just to see if you're paying attention.
Some people I find can be ignorant and do it just to have an argument.
I'm sorry I don't know the answer to this question...
Because they can.
Do you respond to the questions posted by ab staff or you prefer the one posted by others?

Is there anything similar to Viagra that has the same effect? I really want to stay hard for longer. Way longer.

Why do people "answer" my questions, but don't answer my questions? Can you keep your hidden agendas to yourselves?

When someone posts a question, can that person tell a fellow ab'er who answered that he should not answer his question anymore?

So how's your weekend coming along PC? I feel weird calling you ''PC'' lol.
by Symbeline on April 19th, 2008
Yes, I am anything but PC. Ha ha. No, it's ok, easier than typing out my whole "name". Weekend's ok, weather is beautiful. I spent the entire morning washing, waxing, and detailing my car. Now I'm having breakfast (at 3pm) and playing with my cat! How are you? Did you get my email?

Yup, it's super nice out over here too, no need for a coat so maybe doing all my errands won't be such a chore today. I'm doing good, and yes I got your e-mail. So since I'm actually in a good mood today I can reply to both properly. It's getting pretty big though, I hope you don't mind lol. XD
