That's a trick question. Antarctica has no permanent residents, but a number of governments maintain permanent research stations on the continent. Many of the stations are staffed year-round. It is estimated that at any given time there are at least 1,000 people "living" in Antarctica, but this varies depending on the season.
Only one person has even been born in Antarctica! That was Emilio Palma, born 7 January 1978. He was born in the Sargento Cabral Base, and is currently the only known person to have been born on the continent. He is in the Guinness Book of Records.
