No. Some things are better left alone, this is one of them. It amazes me how years later something like this can crop up. Sends my heart to the pit of my stomach every time.

for the sake of my sexual health, yes. If s/he slept with someone, i want to know who, when, *why* and whether I also need to get tested for an STD.

No. because if it was over what would be the point in knowing . I would never trust a person again that had cheated . The relationship would end no matter how long before the cheating had occured.

Yes I would want and deserve to know, When a s/o cheats..they put you at risk for std's. Then tell them they should have stayed in the other relationship because this one is over. :)

Yes, because I really don't think I deserve to catch some disease... it should be my choce whether or not I want to forgive him or not and he should have to live and own up to what he has done.

Yes, I would want to know. There are some situations that, even though you know it's bad, it is still difficult to break it off. So even if it IS over, anything that will help justify your decision, is helpful to overcome the pain and to reassure you that you made the right decision.
