  • No you still need to pay the ticket.
  • G'day Jackie, Thanks for your question. I have attached information on Pennsylvania traffic fines. http://search.dmv.org/dmv/pennsylvania/speeding%20fines I would speak to a lawyer. However, I would think that this information would provide reasonable grounds for a dismissal. Regards
  • No. As long as the car is reasonably identified (e.g has the tag or vin # on ticket), you have been afforded your due process rights. It should be noted that cops often put the wrong year and model. If the ticket was issued without seeing your registration (e.g. parking tickets), how would the cop know the year (and sometimes the model)? You also often see tickets with the wrong color. For example, for years I had a silver car that looked blueish in some lighting. The only purpose for putting so much info about the car on the ticket is to ensure that the car is reasonably identified. Thus, if the cop accidentally put the VIN or tag number down incorrectly, the person could still be found guilty so long as the make, model, color, etc. reasonably identifyu the vehicle.
  • Good luck with that. Perhaps it would bring the officer's credibility and attention to detail into question (If he didn't get that right, did he maybe record your speed incorrectly too?) but you'd need a really good lawyer to argue the point.
