How is it that a question on AB can be asked, answered, and rated before it is mark as approved? No BS, I am really curious as i am relatively new to AB.

The question is automatically entered into the computer. This is also why sometimes the questions are already answered before the question has even been approved. The moderators, then look at the question eventually, and determine whether, or not it can be approved or disapproved.
