  • i think to answer this question all i need to say is... Have you ever heard a white person pronounce mexican words? There ya go.
  • Actually it depends on the accent, but some do and some don't. My personal opinion, I find that the American accent can sometimes grate on me in a foreign language. I'm not sure if that's because I work so hard to not have an accent in a foreign language or the fact that I find that most Americans speak foreign languages haltingly. I do find it better when the person is making the effort to speak the language properly and the accent is just slight.
  • I'd say that Hmong and English are not much different as far as expressions and tone. Many Mormons, who are known in the Hmong communities as fluent in the Hmong language, can be understood. Some don't even have accents at all when they speak Hmong. And for the ones who do, it doesn't sound weird at all. Even though Hmong is a language that uses tonal endings, even if a person mispronounced a word you'd still understand what they were trying to say.
  • It takes a special kind of person to find beauty in all accents, even American ones. I would not think an Americanized version of Spanish is ugly or vice versa.
