Actually, in 2007 interview in his born country of New Zealand he said that after his three-year hiatus, he has like 3 albums waiting release :3

"On January 2 2004, Mid-way through his 2nd album, Daniel was in an auto accident and was cut from the wreckage of his jeep near Auckland, New Zealand. Daniel broke his neck and recovered from his injuries. While in recovery, he won an award for the Best british male artist of 2004, a very prestigious award in europe. 3-4 years ago he was almost killed in a car accident and pretty much has been recuperating after that. I think he has been writing stuff for his sister Natasha, however.
