If your dog was hit and there were cameras at the intersection how would one go about trying to view the videos to catch the person that left the dog to die.?Im posting this for a friend and her beloved dog.

I would determine what authority operates the cameras and contact them with date, time, and place. They can check and see if they recorded the hit, and if any laws were violated. If these cameras are the red light kind, there may not be a recording unless someone ran a red light at the time. If no laws were violated but there is a recording your friend may be able to get a copy to use in a civil case. Before making the authorities and the culprit aware of the incident and her identity I would check on local laws. It is possible that your friend could be liable for any damages to the car caused by a dog running free and not on a lead.

You must go to the authorities, I guess in this case it will be the police, sadly tho' they may not be as helpful as they might as it was a dog and not a human. Hope you catch the SOB.
