When you quit a job, are you entitled to any sick/vacation pay that you earned while working there, but didn't take?

depends on job. Mine no I cant I have to use vacation before I left, and sick is paid 100% by the employer, so I dont get that

Sick pay, no. Vacation pay, yes. Vacation pay is part of your wages and cannot be forfeited. However, an employer can put an earning cap on vacation pay. For example, once you accrue 40 hours you will not accrue anymore until you take some vacation.
