It depends on how much you weigh now. If you are 130lbs now, it is not likely. But if you are 180lbs, then it is definitely doable. Some easy things to do include: • taking the stairs instead of elevators • get off the bus a stop or two early and walk at a reasonable pace • take your time when you eat. You will be surprised to find you get full with less food when you take your time. Also stop eating BEFORE you are stuffed. Some harder things include: • stop eating fast food • exercising! You should be exercising for at least 30 minutes EVERY day! And that's just to maintain a healthy body. Go on some long walks if you haven't exercised in a while. Cardio is a great way of dropping pounds. Set a time goal for yourself, like 30 minutes. Try and get out walking 3 times a week. When you get comfortable on your feet again try a light jog. Don't get discouraged if you can't run for the entire 30 minutes. Once you run out of energy just walk at a quick pace and then start jogging again when you feel comfortable. The goal isn't to jog the entire 30 minutes, it's to be active for 30 minutes. If you keep it up, your endurance will improve and you will be able to jog the whole time! Just be patient. Not only will your core strength and energy levels get better, but I always find that running tones up my stomach like crazy.

Im in the same situation as you. Trying to loose at least 30 pounds by May-ish June. I have a friend's wedding to attend and definetly do not want to look overweight! I considered exercising 30 minutes a day but there's the lack of motivation to get me started. I get on my eliptical machine and I get SO bored after 10 minutes and I hop off it. Any suggestions on how to get started? or at least motivate myself? But in your situation, my friends in the weight-watcher program. She's been losing approx 4 pounds a week. If you dont have the time to exercise, thats ok. Eat healthy. How the program works is, every item of food has a certain amount of points. I.e. a slice of pizza would be 12 points and vegie would have 0 points. Within a week, you would have i.e. 24 points to spend. Therefore, you would have to take into consideration the food you eat, do you really want to spend half your points on a slice of pizza for the whole week? etc. etc...Maybe you can consider this program? Just google up weight-watchers. :) Good Luck!

I lost weight last month because I was only eating fish and vegetables and not any fatty foods. There's almost certainly a healthy range in all supermarkets nowadays - I know there's one in Sainsbury's - Be Good To Yourself. It's actually cheaper than the branded versions, or the Sainsbury's ones themselves! So you can actually SAVE money by buying the healthy stuff. It's a common misconception that salads and sandwiches are too hard to find and KFC is so much easier to get and tastier... Boots do a meal deal - drink, sandwich/salad and a snack for £2.99, and they do a great shapers range which is surprisingly good for you, so during your busy day go to somewhere like Boots for lunch!!! Exercise is a toughy... do you have a Wii? They're good for exercising, especially the Wii Fit. Lots of exercises and muscle toners and they take roughly 3 minutes each. If not, just walking does you good too! It burns calories, so if you can't (or can't be bothered to!!!) do any exercise, just try walking more than usual whilst eating healthily :) Hope this helps!
