I do not know if you can call me "obsessed". However, I have made it a 2 or so decade study. I do not "love" them, however, rather hate. I have the need to learn about Nazis and the Holocaust to understand what was done to my people, including the murder of part of my family. Understanding WWII and WWI is integral to understanding Nazis and the Holocaust. Understanding the economical and social aspects of the aftermath of WWI is essential. Another thing that drives me is na bister o Porrajmos! ("never forget the Devouring"...what we call the Holocaust). I believe it is part of my "job" to learn as much as I can and pass that knowledge down, to do honor to our dead and the dead of all other peoples slaughtered by the Nazi war machine.

WWII and Nazism fascination are two different things. You can be interested in WWII history and still despise the Nazi "SOCIALIST" regime. I admire the sacrifice and bravery our nation went through to over come evil. The memory of those who have fallen will not in vain or forgotten should we choose to study the lessons that need to be learned from this horrific tragedy. I am a WWII and History buff. I will not distance myself from myself.

Years ago I met a few of those old Nazis who were all over 80 years old. It makes no sense to discuss with them on anything. They stay on that level as theywere young and in the Nazi tim etheyhoped to be priviliged. 50 or 60 years of democracy and freedom did not change their mind. You just can give them right and the best you leave as fast as you can. They have their bias and they will keep them for ever. Clear facts they won't accept and hearing their opinions I am really glad that Germany has lost the war.

Yes, I have. He wasn't a neo-nazi, but he did have a level of admiration of the nazis. It doesn't bug me, in fact, he is still a very close friend. I also have known people who classify themselves as neo-nazis, and I did not distance myself from them.
