When I was in sixth grade, my father and I lived about a block away from the city/county prison. On top of that, it was a bad neighborhood, we didn't have a security system and my room was in the front of the house with a large picture window. I told my dad that I was kinda worried one time and he told me that if anyone were to escape, they'd want to get as far away as quickly as possible and definitely wouldn't want to be breaking into anyone's house while they were at it. Made sense and I didn't really worry after that.

I live two miles from a L3 max - this place only has one door for inmates, nobody EVER leaves on their own power. very small (urn size) boxes are the only thing that goes out

Once you've been in the maxumum security prision, you tend not to be afraid of them anymore.
