Why does my milk keep going sour in the door of a double door Kenmore Elite type refrigerator/freezer?

Milk should be kept between 36- 40 degrees Fareinheit. If the door of the refrigerator is opened often, 40% of the cold escapes when the refrigerator is opened and closed normally so if teenagers open the door and stare for several minutes... the temperature can drop to spoil the milk.Milk after opening only last about 4 days, up to 6 days if kept at 40 degrees. You may want to move the milk to the back of the refrigerator, or turn the temp down alittle if the door is opened frequently.

The problem is mostly that your milk is being kept on the door. It really should only be kept in the actual refrigerator since the door exposes it the warm/hot air on the outside more significantly. This goes for most of your dairy products, not just milk and even if you can't smell the sourness like in eggs or butter.
