- U2, the Smiths, Oasis, Coldplay, the Cure, and Stone Roses aren't indie. They are on a major label. Even if indie is used in a context to refer to alternative music, they aren't even that. Those bands are mainstream.

- What are you talking about? Do you know what indie means? Indie means, in terms of music, that the band(s) are signed on to an independent label that is not part of a major record company. I said nothing about Radiohead being indie, they aren't. Last time I knew Metallica was signed onto Warner Bros. and I know U2 isn't indie especially with all the publicity they get every time a new album comes out and just by how well known they are.

- What's the deal with Radiohead anyway? From what I remember they didn't resign with anyone yet they went ahead and had a major label distribute In Rainbows. Tis very confusing.

- It could've been to make it more readily available. If music is released independently often you can only find it in mom and pop music stores or on the internet distributors. I know it seems odd to release it through a major label after leaving a label like EMI.
