Moses did not die. He was translated. The children of Israel assumed that he died, as it says in Deuteronomy 34, but that was not the case. The reason has something to do with Christ at the Mount of Transfiguration hundreds of years later.

From a non biblical point of view there is no historical proof that he even existed.

Moses went to the top of Mt. Pigsah, Nebo stands for the TOP of Mt. Pigsah. Therefore, he actually went away on Mt. Nebo. Be blessed.

Don't think he actually did! Some just assume so ... others later said, he was taken up.
