I don't think it's all that sad, actually. You can't learn much by playing outdoor activities (except for maybe how to put a ball through a hoop). I mean, yeah, there is a lot crap on TV but there is a lot of good, educational stuff too.

To me, very sad. I played softball almost every weekend back in the 1980's. I would still play now, but most of the old gang would rather drink, watch sports on TV or surf the net.
