  • If you need his income to qualify, then yes, his name must be on the deed too. Be very careful about doing this; if you break up, he can force you to refinance the loan and if you don't qualify, he can force a sale.
  • Unless he is a fool, he will insist on it. There is nothing that makes your relationship permanently and there is no protection for either of you should the relationship dissolve. It is a slippery slope. I wish you well with it.
