  • Ya that sounds like the hard drive went out. You might be able to get it replaced otherwise buy a new computer.
  • Scottix is right. The hard drive is toast. You probably won't be able to recover any of the data, but if you bring it to a nearby computer repair place, you can at least find that out for sure. DO NOT try to boot it up again. Any further attempts to boot will cause more extensive damage to a hard drive that is failed/failing. This lessens the chances that even a cleanroom facility will be able to recover the data. If the computer is less than three years old, it is advisable to buy a new hard drive and have someone reinstall the operating system (provided that you have the license key and you are the original owner of the system). If it's more than that, it is probably more cost-effective to buy a new laptop.
  • I had that problem before and I done a recheck on my computer and all it was the phone company walked me through a different hook-up.don't know if it will help you or not, run a computer wizzard or go into microsoft and down load a computer fix.I do it often,my other puter was about 15 yrs old,
