  • Spend a couple of days walking the strip (new strip), and spend a day checking out the old strip (history). It's your first time, you have to do it. Have dinner at Firefly, a great tapas place off of the strip by the Hilton convention center. If you have an extra day, drive south or north to see the mountains. As you get into the mountains, you will quickly forget all of the loud and crowded part of Vegas. You could see a show, but they are insanely over priced. At night, I'd rather walk around watching people. It's free and in most cases much more interesting.
