Wow, that's a book or two, maybe a whole series. So many reasons, way too many to get into here. But in a nut shell, it's either the person or their situation. In other words it's either his nature or lack of honest character or he is so unhappy and miserable that he seeks some comfort in another's arms. OR It could just be a mistake that people make because we are human and weak. I never cheated on a GF or my now ex-wife. The funny thing is that when you are in a relationship it seems you always get more opportunities and that is another factor.
