I once had to teach a woman how to process timesheets. She was older than me and worked full-time (where I only worked part-time), and was also paid more than me. Since I was only one of two people who really knew how to do timesheets inside and out, I had to teach her how to do it. It didn't take long; only a day. I didn't mind teaching her even though she was paid more, because the data processing was only a small part of her job, but was nearly all of mine. I just needed to familiarize her with the system. I was a little annoyed that I didn't get paid extra for this, though....

Several times over the years. One example was when I managed a CAD department. (Computer-aided-design). Integrated circuit design for a semiconductor company. In a past job, I'd been an instructor and created/designed training classes. Later, I was the training manager. Later yet, I went out into the production area and managed a CAD department. Ok .. while a training manager .. and while a production CAD manager .. I was in a position to know exactly how much each person made who worked for me. Not so with women, but men almost always (90% of the time) made more than me .. their manager. AND I trained them. Drove me crazy. That was a long time ago. I know it's not all "fixed" yet, but I sure hope the percentages have improved a lot.

Yes! And I did not resent it because I told them to take their job and shove it up their stinking asses.
