As a species do humans really have an advantage or does our tendency to kill each other and trash our planet offset our 'superior' position in the animal kingdom?

It is a good question. I hope that we would use our intelligence more to help each other more.

That has yet to be seen. How things play out will be the only proof as to whether or not we're truly superior. As long as we're still here we have a chance to turn things around and overcome our shortfalls

We are created in the image of God that is why we are different to animals, did you know it is impossible for animals to be bored? This makes human kinda unique, and boredom leads us to do many things, which animals are incapable of doing. Also the aimals know who there creator is, but many humans dont, the lack of unanswed question or the wrong questions, and the total selfishness and misunderstandings makes us what we are today but it still doesnt mean we are animals. We are superior because we are created in the image of God, Adam gave names to all the animals, he had authority over them, only when sin came into the world did we start loosing the plot, because we decided in rebelion that we new more than God which seperated us from him.
