Because their capacity to destroy purely for the sake of destroying is unrivalled throughout the entire spectrum of creatures inhabiting this planet.

Almost no other mammal kills for the fun of it. Wolves and lions and some other preying animals band together to kill for food but no other mammal than man bands togethr just to kill some others of its own kind. No other animal has devoted extensive amounts of time perfecting ways to kill other mammals. Shalll I go on?

Because other than ourselves we have to preditors. We have big wepons used for hurting our own spieces as well as other spieces.

1) We have tools. Scary tools. Ever see a lion with an M82A1, or a bear with a belt sander and a pair of Vise Grips? 2) We kill for fun. 3) Sometimes we kill SLOWLY... for fun.
