It is best to eliminate the living environment that has brought these earwigs in your kitchen in the first place. YOU MUST ELIMINATE THE WATER PROBLEM!!!! SOMETHING IS LEAKING MOST LIKELY THE SINK AREA, or maybe the drip pan under the refrigerator. A perimeter spraying outside along foundation with a labeled insecticide will stop earwig harborages along the foundation. Remove anything that retains moisture along foundation The Boric acid will clump up in a damp location rendering it useless, also Boric acid is a stomach poison and using a loose stomach poison in the food area of your home is not suggested. Simply put insecticide is POISON there are no safe poisons, removing the living environment and removing the food source is best way of pest control, only use insecticides when these measures are not enough or not practical. Earwigs require high moisture and just removing this should make a huge difference, using pesticides will give faster knock down but also will raise the risk of danger
