If all your friends have an Xbox 360, why can't you keep the iPod and play the 360 at their house?
Well, I did the exact opposite of this and I am very happy with my choice because I was getting bored of the 360. The iPod touch is an amzaing technology that has 1000's of appss for download. I don't know if your into technology and all but it is much easier to hack the ipod touch. Look up how to jailbreak iPod touch on google if you get an ipod touch. this will enable you to run apps not approved by apple. for example a youtube video downloader for the touch! another thing is the xbox 360 has had many technical problems as oppose to the ipod touch which has almost none. lastly
if you do decide to get a gaming console I would save up for a PS3 because it is much better than the 360.

Well, the iPOD touch is constantly being upgraded with new, cool features. However, the xbox 360 is the ULTIMATE gaming platform. I have both the itouch, and a 360 and I couldn't imagine living without either. Have you given thought to the fact that you would also need to buy the games for the console (in order to have a good time) which are 49-59.00 a pop? Also, you would need to buy an xbox live GOLD membership to make multiplayer an option. They are both amazing examples of technology, but ultimately the choice is yours alone. My choice would the the 360.
Get whichever one you will use more.
Personally, I HATE iPods and everything to do with them. There were enough teenage zombies on the planet before everyone gave them 3230950289367028670 hours of bad music on a headset.
But, I could also say the same for video games. At least you can play the XBox with friends.
The xbox 360 has had major issues with overheating and a ton of them have to be returned. Most of the time it is a red ring issue so only microsoft can take care of it so you have to contact them to even get it fixed. For this reason I have not even thought about buying one because I see them get returned with problems all of the time. However the system does have great games! From what I have heard they are (microsoft) trying to fix the issue so if you want an Xbox I would wait just a little bit longer.
I have have both and I have to say that I don't play the iPod touch as much as the xbox 360. Although you can do things like go on the Internet and download apps, the iPod touch got me bored after a while. Most of the apps from the apps store are boring or cost money. I do have some games I enjoy, but I gave up on those. Also, when you go on the Internet for the iPod touch it's annoying if you have big fingers and zooming in; this and that. I choose the xbox 360 because it's a great gaming system for video game lovers, but you may have to spend money to go on Live.I have had my xbox 360 for a year now and haven't had any problems even though I play it alot. You can talk to friends on your microphone and so omany other things!
Get rid of the ipod!! Listen mate they just ger boring after two weeks. Iv got a xbox and there great! The best part is been online with your mates and its rare you get sick of it! It always gets rid of bordem and kills loads of time! If u want to listen to music just get on to your pc and listen to music. If not just get a cheap Mp3 player they do the trick!!
trade it for a ps3 if you really want to trade it in. I have a xbox 360 and i regret choosing the xbox 360 over a ps3. They pretty much have the same games, and the internet access for ps3 is free while xbox live costs some amount.
