I left my religion because it was full of hypocracies, and inconsistancies. Because the church is corrupt and the way they expect people to worship is just short of brainwashing. I believe in god, and I believe in Jesus, but I also believe that God gave us this gift of life to enjoy, and not be ashamed of it. That Jesus would want us to love everyone regardless of belief, color or sexual orientation. I didnt tell anyone, I just stopped going and talking to those who based a relationship on religion.

I recognized the absurdity of all religions. I started to ask myself questions like what makes Christianity any better than Judaism? Can I prove Christianity exists? What in history gives me any confidence that people generally tell the truth to one another? What about the horrible atrocities caused by religion? . The thing that I found the most troubling is this acceptance of truth with no basis of fact. Would I want to found guilty of a crime I did not commit without any evidence? No, and I don't want to base my beliefs on something I can't prove but goes against logic. To top it off, puberty was quite disturbing when I couldn't help certain impulses and those impulses went against what I was told about what God wants from me.
