I believe that gold is just shy of $900 USD, per ounce right now. An ounce of pot won't cost you that much, unless it is the best fricking pot ever grown. I don't think it compares.

Even if it technically wasn't, it would be. I have no use for metal that happens to be slightly rare.

I have heard it is possible. Gold is around US$800 so especially if you are buying in smaller, less economical forms, it could end up costing more than gold.
