Yes... very much so.

We certainly are all ignorant to a certain degree. Prejudices are usually born of ignorance. Yes we are.
-
I'd say it's pretty much impossible not to be. We're all products of our environment, experiences, and what we're taught from day one of our lives.

.. to the 3rd degree.

yes everyone is a little prejudiced against somebody sometime

Yes I believed it is learned but as we get older we have a choice whether to stay prejudiced. Where Do Prejudices Come From? Prejudice is a premature judgment--a positive or a negative attitude towards a person or group of people which is not based on objective facts. These prejudgments are usually based on stereotypes which are oversimplified and overgeneralized views of groups or types of people. Or, a prejudgment may be based on an emotional experience we have had with a similar person, sort of our own personal stereotype. Stereotypes also provide us with role expectations, i.e. how we expect the other person (or group, like all Japanese) to relate to us and to other people. Our culture has hundreds of ready-made stereotypes: leaders are dominant, arrogant men; housewives are nice but empty headed; teenagers are music crazed car-fanatics; very smart people are weird, and on and on. Of course, sometimes a leader or housewife or teenager is somewhat like the stereotype but it is a gross injustice to automatically assume they all are.

yup, even if you know it and you try to fix it, you still are. but whether you act on it and whatnot, that helps you a lot
-
Yes. There are prejudices against pretty people, ugly people, skinny people, fat people, smart people, dumb people, and many other types of people. Race, Religion, sexual orientation, etc. are just the prejudices that get the publicity. The difference is how you act on it in yourself.
-
Yes I beloeve so, even if it is just a like or dislike of something or someone. it is inbuilt to be wary of that which is different until you get to know it.
-
I think even the best of us is prejudiced to some level even though we may not be aware of it.
-
Yes, because the human mind is a self-organizing pattern recognition device. It is inherent in human cognition that our minds take a small sample of data and construct generalized rules about the world around us. That predilection is adaptive when we use it for something like recognizing what a snake lying in the weeds looks like. It can save our life and the cost of a mistake is low (Whoops! It was just a fallen branch...) That predilection is maladaptive when we use it to classify other people based on skin color, ethnicity, place of birth, religion, etc. and leads to a great deal of human suffering. . . .
-
No, not everyone is prejudiced. That itself is a prejudiced assumption.
-
I think almost everyone is driven by self-interest...so wherever that takes you is basically what you will do, what you will believe, and who you are! :(
