  • For me, it depends if it was recently (within a week or so) asked and answered. Find the old question, and change the rating and/or add a comment. It will bring the old one back to the front of the line.
  • Bump it up.
  • There's no need to repeat a question. Just bring the old one back up by answering it, and others will too.
  • It shows impatience and takes up space. You can always recycle the original question, but posting multiple variations of the same question is like trying to talk over everyone else.
  • If there are several different copies of the same question, we are a lot less likely to see an answer. If all the answers are in one place, it makes it much easier on the person who is looking in the "search for answers" section.
