  • It certainly is, though it tastes like absolute garbage. There are two brands that I know offhand, Everclear and Diesel - both are 190 proof grain alcohol. It tastes like burning, and when it's diluted it tastes mostly like nothing and bad. The only way I'd suggest imbibing it is mixed with lots and lots of a sugary drink.
  • yes, it's still available. other than just getting drunk why would he buy an unflavored alcohol and use an unflavored mixer to dilute it down to approximately 45 proof?
  • Ever clear!
  • YES< and it's called "EVERCLEAR" and it is sold from under the cash register. Don't ask me why but ever time I bought it , She reached under the table and there it was!!
  • yes it is i love love LOVE diesel 190!!!! (=
  • laws vary state to state. Everclear 190 is diluted to make it only 151 proof in some states (I know Florida is one) in order to be legally sold.
  • I'll 3rd/4th/5th/6th/whateverth the "Everclear" vote. In GA, it's an honest 190. I regularly buy 1.75 liter bottles for about $33 out the door after tax. It's on the bottom shelf with other clear liquors...kinda between Gin and Tequila where I buy it. I like mixing it in a beer mug 3/4 filled w/ ice, dump a 5-count of everclear in, then top it off w/ sour apple schnapps. I can usually get to sleep after 2-4 of those. Occasionally I can even stay asleep through the night. I've also mixed it w/ carrot juice, blueberry juice, regular and pink grapefruit juice, sour mix, orange drink, misc flavors of powerade and gatorade....one of these days I may even spike my beer with it.
