I wouldn't be too smart to bet on the Heat to make the playoffs this year. They are 9-42 and just because they got Shawn Marion doesn't mean they're going to make the playoffs this year. Right now they are 13 games out of the #8 spot and they would have to pass 6 other teams to get there. 31 Games left to pass 6 teams while making up 13 games. I doubt that. But count on them to return to the playoffs next season.

No way. The 8th place team in the East right now is probably Philly with 24 wins. Miami only has 9. At this point Miami is trying to keep pace with Minnesota and Memphis for the worst record and a higher chance at the number one lottery pick.
