  • I am old school New England here, so I would say: 40 gallons of sap and a few hours of boiling. To the first person that suggests adding corn syrup, I WILL beat you. Severely EDIT 19 FEB 08 - 0106 EST It seems that I am the only one here (so far) that knows what Maple syrup actually is and that most people PREFER corn syrup and chemicals. Are you all lab-fed city-slickers here? Never had bacon that was walking around oinking until just recently? Eggs from right under the chicken?

Sherry Instructions In a small saucepan combine syrup, butter or margarine and Sherry. Heat slowly until butter melts, stirring occasionally. Serve hot with pancakes or waffles.
