How do I add DVD subtitles to my home DVD videos? I want to be able to turn them on and off with my DVD remote like a normal DVD movie.

You will need to purchase a DVD authoring software product that allows you to create the subtitles and incorporate them into the DVD when it is created. None of the inexpensive consumer software products (US$100 or less) that I have used or looked into provide any such features. There are many authoring packages that provide such features, but the least expensive of these is in the US$200 price range. If you are willing to spend US$500 to US$1000, you will find a number of products on the market that give you access to the full set of DVD features.
