Regrettably some birds are too domesticated to fly. Some have their wings clipped. Others that fly in the house may get out and will be attacked by wild birds and killed very quickly

I used to keep a bird in a cage. Now I realise that that was wrong. Birds need a lot of space. They were born to fly and forage and peck and scrounge. I have no objections to aviaries for small birds, but large birds really shouldn't be in captivity. And cages just shouldn't be used at all.

I love parrots and always wanted one growing up. But as I got older, I realized that birds are meant to fly. That's their gift. To cage such a creature would crush me and deprive another creature of its full potential.

My parents have parrots, they let them fly around the house and gazebo. I do not think any animal should be caged up, but some are too domesticated to be let loose

I think it's ok as long as it's a small bird in a HUGE cage. But yes I think they should be able to roam free or be let out of their cage most of the time. How would you feel if you were kidnapped and shut in a cage by someone bigger than you?
