  • I've been a thumbsucker for my entire 23 years of existence and I'd have to say that my chin muscles have never felt any strain what so ever. Going through my teen years I did think it could eventually cause a double chin. So I was told that you could do neck stretches where you lift your head a bit and stick your jaw out as if you had an under bite. I never got around to doing them.. and never developed a double chin so I couldn't say if it works. As for being a thumbsucker.. I am always asked if I've had braces (which I haven't) but my 2 top front teeth do cause me ache-iness pretty often from a result of thumbsucking. Obviously this doesn't answer any of your questions. But from one thumbsucker to another...
