  • Good for you. Going vegetarian can be a healthy choice. You need to be sure you get enough protein, which many people find in meat. With so many good soy products available now (Boca, Morningstar, etc.) it's easier than ever.   • Just to make sure you want to be vegetarian and not vegan please keep this in mind: Vegetarians sometimes include in their diet eggs, fish, chicken and milk as well as the usual vegan diet. Vegans on the other hand do not eat ANY animal products at all period. Their diet usually consists of fruits, vegetables, soy products (milk, tofu), beans, flat bread (with no eggs or milk in it), rice, etc. Gideon posted the links so I won't repost them.
