3-4 hours in Toledo. Why? Went to a meeting there. As we were leaving, at the airport, they said our plane was not going to be ready for an hour or more. We watched as they removed the cowling from at LEAST one engine and spent a LOT of time on it. Finally, they got us a new plane.

We were in an airport in or near New York City, and our plane had left with our luggage and without us. It wasn't our fault, we weren't late or anything. We had to wait for the next flight to Dublin, which was a day away. The airport, being as nice as they could, checked us into the hotel beside the airport for free and payed for our breakfast the following morning. I was very young, and I remember my father being very angry towards the airport staff, thought they were doing all they could to fix the problem.
