We can not destroy a entire population or civilization for the actions of a few. Nuclear war will only lead to a nuclear holocaust for this entire planet. Whoever the victor maybe will only inherit a poisoned planet. Iran will not invade any country, and will not attack any country unprovoked. What Iran is doing is positioning it self as a power in the ME, once things settle down. Saber rattling is common in these scenarios.

I would vote against a nuclear attack, we would be shooting OURSELVES in the foot doing that. But a Neutron Bomb attack, I could go for.

If you look at history, the US have always been in wars somewher in this world destroying something or killing someone, most that any other coutries in the world in the past 100 years. In history as it can be traced and told, tyrants have always lost in the end. The world might've been frightened in the past like they were of the USSR, the Hitler regim, the Romans, or the Jews in the Mid-East for all I know but they all were defeated by trying to impose too much fears and control over others. So is the US future!! Be prepared! :(

Our nation has said and has signed treaties that say we will never strike first. Nuke are a measure of last resort and only if another party has launched one first. . Using a nuke on Iran will only cause other Islamic nations in the region to go ape and work to acquire their own bomb.

Using nukes to stop Iran is like using a bull dozer instad of a fly swatter. There are far better and more effective means of dealing with them. Unconditional negotiations are not one of them.

That would be insane, and if it came from anyone important, it was probably a tasteless joke. I don't see any country supporting the US in an action like this. If the US dared then they would be turning their back on the rest of the world. There would be serious retaliation against the US, and would completely undermine all nuclear disarmanent talks with countries like North Korea.

That's as bad if not worse than going to Iraq. Iran hasn't done anything to us. And I think the people of Iran are quite ashamed of their country. It seems whenever I met anyone from Iran on vacation in the US they refer to themselves as Persians. Can't blame them, if I went to another country I'd probably call myself a Californian.

Nuclear war must be avoided at all costs. The use of nuclear weapons is incredibly stupid, and exterminating an entire population of people for the sabre rattling of a few is pure madness that would destabilize the entire world. Good luck letting the US ever have any credibility again, if we survive the retaliation.

I think there's protocol and rules of war that are there to prevent something like men with nukes thinking preemptive nuclear strikes are a way to peace or resolution. Assumptions don't carry enough weight in my opinion to warrant murder...and killing people for what they might do instead of what they had done IS murder.
