born and raised in north shore,hawai'i it's the most amazing place for me but i have been all over the islands and there all quit beautiful but north shore is defo the best especially if you like surfing.MAHALO!OX

Yes, Honolulu, Oahu and yes but it was small. You can drive around (see) the entire island of Oahu in a couple of hours. It's also a study in contrast as there seems to be no middle class. Just extremely rich and extremely poor. That is, unless you consider people living in rusting metal shacks middle class.

Ive beeen there 5 times. We've been to Maui and stayed on Kaanapali Beach. We've also been to Kauai and stayed at Poi pu Beach. Hawaii is the perfect place to live. Which I could

When my dad was there he found the barbed wire on the beaches kind of depressing, but hopefully they've cleared it away by now.

- 1942 or 3, I think just as a layover on the way to his station (a speck of an island called Abemama or Apemama, then the larger island of Saipan; he was in the Air Force). He probably stopped there again shipping back to San Fran in 1945 or 6.
