  • I've taken Welbutrin and Prozak (SSRI's) and found them largely useless with no real side effects/withdrawl. I've take Mitrazapine (I believe it is an SNRI) and found it very effective - except that I had no interest in (read zero, zilch, nada) sex, either alone or with my girlfriend, for about 2 months. I've asked her if she wants me to go back on it and she says it made me a happier person, easier to live with etc, but the asexual component of it made HER feel depressed, unatractive, unwanted. So today I am (prescription) med. free. Bliss
  • Effexor treated my anxiety very well for a period of time, but then I found it necessary to go off of it related to an increasing feeling of anhedonia.
  • I've just started Cymbalta and I've been feeling pretty good lately. I don't have any ill effects to report on that. I was on Lexapro for a bit prior to that and it's basically a happy pill - but it you miss your dose, it's aweful.
  • cipralex (which is the canadian word for lexapro) is what i'm on, and i find that it does help plus i have not noticed any negative side effects. apparently it is one of the most well-tolerated SSRIs out there today.
