You're reading My computer sound had been working, but now there is no sound at all. I made sure my speakers were plugged in. What else should I check?
Comments
Okay, I tried all that, but I just discovered something. When I go to my sound & audio panel, it says that I don't have any speakers or any type of sound device connected to my computer. I know that is wrong. It was just working last night.

If the audio window says it ain't there, windows doesn't see it. It won't use what it can't see. Try removing the device and re install with up to date drivers/software.

Ohh yeah, if it's XP go into audio properties to the speaker setup, I once saw a non working rig display "none" in type of speaker box. Sorry, can't think of anything else unless you give the sound card.
