Last week someone told me to copy my answers and comments before I submitted them and so I have been doing that. I'm sorry you lost your answer, even though I know that won't bring it back!

Sorry to hear that. That's why for very long answers, I use the copy option so that if they fail to submit, I can always just paste them. That message is common, BTW.

AB members are all over the world in every time zone. Therefore AB is being visited 24/7...you know in your own life you must do maintenance and sometimes upgrade your system...since AB staff never gets a break in member usage, they must make AB unavailable from time to time in order to do any fixes or make any improvements. :)

I've noticed that when this happens, if I hit "Refresh", it will either post my Q&A the second time or state "Your Q&A has already been posted. You can go there in 3 seconds (or something like that).

A large amount of people on the site causes the bandwidth to quickly get used up. The result is screen's lagging behind input and dropped or timed out connections.

This happens often, and if not the temporary unavailable screen, then anything takes minutes to load.

Mine was down here for over an hour. I actually answered this and when I clicked send, I got a "error message' no internet connection.. so I played pogo for a while. Glad it's back on. I was beginning to wonder if they were going to take a 12 hr coffee break like YA did. LOL

High traffic eats up bandwidth quickly, the result is lag time and connection timeout's and dropped connection's.

Haven't had that problem. Just a little slow sometimes.

I've had that problem. I've also had problems with missing images, avatars, and the moderation process is completely messed up.. I think the site is undergoing development or maintenance... Hopefully the quirks will soon be gone and forgotten
