WHen I rate a question on answerbag how come i can only give two points but I recieve ratings of1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 points?

The rating you can give is based on your level. The ratings you get are based on the levels of the people who rate you

Because I can give you a 6... and someone else can give a 3. It's other peoples ranks that are reflected in your ratings.

You are gradually able to award more points as you move up the levels, to a maximum of 5 for questions and 6 for answers.

For instance, for me, it looks like this: " my ratings When you rate something, it's worth: ans ques Helpful Rating +6 +5 Not Helpful Rating -5 -5 " This means I can give up to: +5 points on a question (or -5) +6 points on an answer (or -5) By increasing levels, you can give more points. When you reach Sage, you have reached the maximum.
