What is with the double standard? WHy am I considered racist if I am not attracted to someone other then my own ethnicity but NOT considered sexist if I am only attracted to men? How is one different from the other?

I dont think racism and sexism should be linked to physical attraction. Instead it would be more of the treatment they receive from you. I'll treat everyone the same until they've given me a reason to do otherwise (individually). However when you choose a partner you'll have to look at them everyday so I don't see how being picky there is a problem.

They are not different from each other... you are attracted to whatever you are attracted to.. Neither of those distinctions make you racist or sexist...

It's completely different because sexual orientation is not a choice and choosing to date someone of a different race or not IS a choice. If you're not attracted to someone of a different ethnicity, that's fine but I am usually wary when people make such broad statements as that. I think it's impossible to say you're not attracted to ALL black men or ALL hispanic men, etc. If you're basing your attractions on noble reasons, then it would not classify as racism. If you're basing it on a notion that someone of another race is somehow inferior to you, then it is racism.

Wouldn't really matter if you didn't think those definitions had validity and applied to you. If they didn't apply to you, differences wouldn't matter at all. They'd be irrelevant as far as you're concerned.

who called u racist? the person of ur ethnicity? (i doubt it) or the other race... i dont date men of my race but that doesnt make me a racist that is just my preference. dont worry about those ppl who call u a racist, if you think u r not racist, then thats good. stick to your men honey. but one day u will be tempted.

Didnt know you were racist if you werent attracted to another race. Its fine if you only like your race...that is just hunky dory. It just means you dont find the other races sexually appealing. Alot of black women are that way, they dont wanna date outside of their race...so who cares.

I do not consider being sexually attracted to only your ethnicity to be racist... that is preference. If you thought of yourself as better than other ethnicities... that is racism. If you were racist you would not like me and we have been friends for some time now.
