    I don't know if it's the power supply, although that could certainly be the cause. However, it's almost certainly not worth repairing, even if it is just the power supply. To be certain, you might call a couple of TV repair shops in the area and ask them. If you find one that does free estimates, you can have them do so and then decide for yourself.
