I think it is irresponsible because with the info we have now about health, everyone should know better. Take care of your body now and maybe prevent health problems later.

I think it could be irresponsible- Do you have only money for fast food, and otherwise you don't get to eat? Do you do it only occassionally? Do you eat there because you have mental deficiencies and that is the only place you know how to get food from (unfortunately, it does happen)? In general, I would say that it is irresponsible- but there are exceptions.

Irresponsible? No. Just like smoking for some people, it's extremely hard to stop eating things you like. (YES... I know that smoking is more addictive than fast food!) As for soft-drinks, switch to diet. If you don't like the "taste", don't drink any pop for a couple of days, then order diet. I found when I did that, I could make the switch more easily. (Also, try Wal-Mart's flavored water. The nutrition chart shows it has NOTHING in it, dietetically, and there are lots of flavors to choose from. Use them for a while, then try the diet pop.) You can still eat at fast-food places, if you make more healthy selections. Most now have those options- - salads, low-carb, low-fat, etc. It's ALL in moderation. If you prefer the "unhealthy" food, instead of the Super-Sized, eat a regular mean. Later (or if you do them now), instead of the regular, eat the small (take smaller bites and savor it.)
