No, I don't get mad over small stuff. If they use a credit card that gets declined and proceed to hold up the line while they try the other 20 cards in their wallet. . .that is when I lose patience.

no, but around here check writing is very, very rare. Maybe twice in the last year of weekend grocery shopping.

It doesn't tend to upset me, but I'm usually surprised. Most people have replaced their checkbooks with debit cards. The people I've seen writing checks have all been older. I haven't written a check in years, but I always had a balanced checkbook. (I was a nerdy teen.) I get a little annoyed, though, when the clerk doesn't know how to process a check and needs to call out a manager to go step-by-step for the sale.
